Job Opportunities
We provide Human Resources and recruitment services to all U.S. posts in Brazil as follows: the U.S. Embassy in Brasília, the Consulates General in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, the Consulate in Recife, Foreign Commercial Office in Belo Horizonte and Consular Agencies.
Applicants interested in working for the US Mission in Brazil should review each position vacancy thoroughly to ensure that their qualifications, skills and abilities meet the position requirements. The resume must include all the necessary information such as: education level, work experience stating previous jobs, month/year worked, positions held, and duties performed. The resume must be forwarded to the address specified in the job announcement.
In order to be eligible for consideration, applicants must either be a Brazilian citizen or have the required work and residency permit allowing the individual to work in Brazil.
Applications must be submitted in English only for all advertised positions that require a level 3 (good working knowledge) or level 4 (fluent) in English. Resumes must also be sent to the address indicated in the vacancy announcement by the closing date of the position. Resumes in Portuguese will not be accepted for positions with level 3 and 4 required English.
