U.S. Commercial Office Reignites the Young Professionals and Diplomats Event in Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro, May 7, 2012

On May 2, 2012, the U.S. Consulate General’s Commercial Officer Joel Reynoso reignited the previously successful social event: the "Young Professionals and Diplomats Happy Hour."

The event was held at the Londra Bar, at the famous Hotel Fasano in Ipanema, where over 100 professionals both from the public and private sector met over drinks to network and expand their business contacts.

"The event was very lively and an excellent opportunity to meet people who share the same interests, as to doing business here in Rio," said Alvaro Notaroberto Barbosa, a partner at Tozzini Freire Law Firm.

The Young Professionals and Diplomats Happy Hour will occur on a regular basis, with the next meeting scheduled to take place after Rio + 20.
